The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, which protects and preserves the country’s historical and cultural heritage, has launched a series of free online trips through the tombs and other structures that are famous for the birthplace of the pharaohs. The ministry publishes links to the tours on social networks, supplementing them with the hashtags #StayHome.

Virtual tours are 3D models of rooms made up of many images. It turns out an analogue function “Street View” from Google, only instead of streets here tombs and other ancient places. On a virtual copy of the structure you can move freely, approach the camera and be inside as much as you want – no one will drive you away. In addition, there are no queues in the 3D model.
