How To Make Flavored Salt Yourself. Super Easy!

It is very simple to prepare flavored salt: it is interrupted using a blender or a coffee grinder with spices that you choose to your taste. Spices give it their taste, color and smell, they become one. Here are some of the most delicious combinations:

  • Dried herbs – with them, salt will help to tone out the taste of meat. These are thyme, rosemary, oregano, garlic, mint, lavender, basil.
  • Spice – add this salt to stewed vegetables. Cumin, fennel, coriander, paprika, turmeric or chili.
  • Dried Shredded Mushrooms – salt with this aroma is suitable for side dishes, omelettes and julienne.
  • Dried Ground Citrus Zest – Suitable for frying poultry, vegetables and seafood.

Advice on how to store salt.

Good salt crumbly and dry, but if stored incorrectly, it can be absorbed with moisture and grab a hard lump. To prevent this from happening, you should follow the rules of salt storage.

Store the salt in a dry and ventilated place. Always tightly close the salt in the salt. Do not take salt from the salt with wet or greasy hands or a damp spoon. In a container with a large supply of salt, you can put a small gauze bag of rice – it will absorb excess moisture. Store salt in linen bags, glassware or unpacked factory packaging, wooden or ceramic salt. If you’re going to use a plastic container to store salt, make sure it’s labeled “for food.”

And remember, every adult needs only 5 to 7 grams of salt per day every day. In summer, due to increased sweating, this need increases to 10-15 grams. So do not overpower the dishes and, where possible, try to use analogues of salt.

Bless you!
