If you’ve been sleeping on Jerry Folk this year, it’s time to wake up. The man just continues to drop more fire for us for 2017. Back in June of this year, the Norwegian producer released his amazing, nine-track mixtape Purple Evenings that simply blew us away. But Jerry Folk wasn’t nearly done there. Just around a month ago, he dropped off a handful of silky edits that includes his rendition of Post Malone’s “Rockstar”, an original track “This Feeling” and more . Today, Jerry added one more to that collection, his flip of Jeremih’s 2009 massive hit “Birthday Sex”.
Jerry Folk does an amazing job of putting a modern spin on a classic, sensual R&B slow jam. Right off the bat Jerry hits you with some heart pounding kicks along with a funky little bassline that will force you to nod your head to the beat. The groove and familiar melody stay the same, but with a slightly increased tempo, making it even easier to dance to. This short but sweet track should easily hold you over until the next Jerry Folk drop. Enjoy!
