Happy Monday everyone! And drumroll… the most complimented pants of 2018 – yes we’re only 29 days in – are these incredible leather pants! Funny story… Colin and I were on a double date the other night and as the sweet hostess walked all of us to our table, she turned to me and said, I love your pants. I then turned, pointed to Marissa, and said to the hostess, they’re by her! And that was the, kid you not, fifth time in one night I got compliments on these pants. They’re such a statement but extremely wearable piece! The high-waisted design coupled with the cropped length completely elongates my frame. Standing at 5″4′ with heels, I feel 6 feet tall in these pants!
Pairing statement with statement, I wanted to add an interesting shape on top to complement the asymmetrical waist detail. This fluttery ruffle sweater was the perfect mate. In addition to styling it this way, I also wore these leather pants with a simple v-neck tee and cropped trench. The trench hit the asymmetric waistline perfectly creating a smooth seamless look. And honestly, the re-styling options are endless. These pants are perfect with a sleek turtleneck, a crisp button-up, and so much more.
