Ageing is a scary word, especially when it’s related to beauty. With ageing comes dull, dry, saggy skin and wrinkles can be seen from far. We all leave no stone unturned to keep our skin looking as young and plumped as we can but sometimes the solution is more than just creams & lotions.

Since I have entered my thirties, maintaining that youthful skin and keeping it supple & smooth has become a daily chore. But there are somethings that need a dermatological solution e.g. photo damage. UV rays cause early ageing + uneven skin tone which is also known as pigmentation. I was looking for something more than a regular facial and came across Sculpt Clinic which is quite a known name in Cosmetic Dermatology.

I met Dr Hema Pant who has an impressive experience cosmetic dermatology & facial contouring. After examining my skin’s condition she recommended Radio Frequency Micro Needling. A procedure that focuses on removing wrinkles from any part of the body. The process might sound scary because of the mention of needles however with the help of a numbing cream you can hardly feel anything happening on the face/ affected area.

Before

Dr Hema took her time in covering every square inch of the face/ area with the instrument that has micro needles. The whole process took less than 1 hour if I include pre treatment skin prep. The process starts with thorough cleaning of face and application of numbing cream. The cream was left on the skin for 30 mins and then removed and skin was cleaned again with saline solution.

After

My skin is sensitive and I was quite apprehensive before the treatment but Dr Hema explained the entire process and how there is no downtime as such. The treatment works on wrinkles, dark spots and also does mild contouring of the face.

It’s been over a week now and I can definitely see smooth & plum skin. I have observed a noticeable difference in overall evenness of skin as well glow. The skin looks tighter and lifted.

Ideally Radio Frequency Micro Needling should be repeated after 25 days or 3 weeks for 3 to 5 times depending on the condition of the skin. It is ideal for those with acne marks / pits as well and can be used as a base procedure for many other treatments. The effects are much more noticeable and long lasting than any other treatment.

I would recommend Radio Frequency Micro Needling if you are facing similar issues like wrinkles, dark circles, acne & pigmentation.
