If there is a trait undeniably attached to Nannacay, it’s that the brand embodies the spirit of a woman who appreciates beauty and admires the simplicity of life. Nannacay- of Quechua Aymara origin, means sisterhood of women.
More than a brand, Nannacay fronts simultaneously as a social fashion project, with a mission to help people develop creative potential by serving as a bridge between people who need help and people who want to help.
Brazilian designer Marcia Kemp’s greatest inspiration came from the task to prove the beauty born from simplicity has a space within appreciation, and could conquer the fashion industry. Nannacay’s woven mini bags have manifested this notion and fast-tracked to becoming a cult favorite.
Each woven bag is handmade from chemical-free fibers, sourced along the Peruvian coast by an artisanal community. Nannacay’s Resort collection included the essentials. The Baby Roge Pompom bag and the Corfu tote revisited Resort with the favored, two-tone pom poms. Introductory styles such as the Charlotte tote, rendered in all over pom poms, joined the collection.
Inspired by her travels around the globe, Marcia’s collection includes pieces that have been hand-woven by a single craftsman. A motto respoken through Nannacay’s Resort collection, the brand shines light on creative hands transforming lives.
