If you read this post, plain socks will be the words you wouldn’t hear anymore in the same sentence. Yes, there’s guilty pleasure shopping or them at Decathlon or on Amazon: they’re a lot, you avoid the stress to match them when they’re dried, they’re undestroyable. But for spring-summer 2018, forget any excuses: socks will be your style statement. And for this reason, we don’t need black or white plain socks in our drawer.
We’ve learnt this lesson straight from Jennifer Lopez, who a couple weeks ago unveiled her favourite socks: the hyper expensive Gucci crystal embellished ones. Is it a true socks-fashion-moment or not?
Socks as cool accessories is certainly nothing news, but for next season runways and street-style have taughts us that they will spread our fashion message. Fishnet styles are giving a cool touch to tone sur tone sandals, and logo nylon socks are perfect to dive some fuel to pumps and slingbacks. The real challenge? Wear knee high socks, hyper covering and skin tight, in summer and sunny days. Better to make some experiments in the last winter weeks, don’t you think?
